Q: How much do you charge for on-site service?

A: This has to be one of the most frequently asked questions. Are you tired of paying for an hour of work when it only took 20 minutes to resolve the issue? We at CyberCIO believe that you should not have to pay by the hour - so our rates are by the half hour. If you live in Washington County, UT, we charge $40.00 for the first half hour of a service call and then $30.00 for each additional half hour for that call. If you live in Iron County, UT, we charge $80.00 for the first half hour of a service call and then $30.00 for each additional half our for that call.

We service clients all over the United States. For our clients that live over 100 miles from St. George, UT we charge a flat rate of $1000.00 per day. This includes travel and lodging fees that some companies charge extra for.

Q: Will I loose my data when your repair my computer?

A: In most cases No, we have the ability to repair and upgrade your computer without any data loss. We can even remove viruses without reinstalling windows. The only time you can loose data while we work on your computer is if your hard drive is going bad.

Q: I'm getting pop-up ads and my computer is slow, can you fix this?

A: Yes, However to keep it from happening again you will need to keep your kids off your system.

Q: What Antivirus do you recommend?

A: There are so many versions of Antivirus out there today and most are good. The three that we have found to be the very best and cause the least amount of trouble with your other applications are in no particular order - Norton Antivirus, Trend Micro, and McAfee Antivirus.

Q: Can I upgrade my Computer?

A: In most cases yes, however some older systems that run versions of Microsoft software such as Windows 95 or Windows 98 would not be cost effective to upgrade.

Q: I have heard a lot about the security of wireless networks, am I at risk?

A: If you have a wireless network and you do not have encryption or authentication enabled then yes. Most modern day wireless routers or access points support some sort of data encryption.
